• Due to the fact that we are a mobile only practice, if your pet has a life threatening condition (for example, seizures, bleeding, collapse, struggling to breathe, trauma) you should take your pet to your nearest vet practice for urgent care. We can offer advice and help you over the phone if you are unsure.

If you have an emergency outside of our core hours, we have partnered two out of hours service providers:

    North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies (NSVE)

This is a veterinary hospital. Please contact them to discuss your concerns and they will advise if you need to be seen.

    Tel: 0208 783 2850

Address: North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies, 4 Park Road, East Molesey, Surrey, KT8 9LE

    Veteris Mobile Emergency Services

This is a mobile emergency vet clinic open 24/7 for non-life threatening emergencies. Please note they are based in London so if you feel your pet needs to be seen faster than they can get to you, please contact NSVE.

    Tel: 0204 587 1136

  • We will give you a 1 hour window for the visit and message you to let you know a more accurate time when we are on the way. Please ensure you let us know if there are any parking or access restrictions to your property. If you have a cat, please restrict them to one room so we don’t have to go searching when we visit.

When we arrive, Laura the vet will take a thorough history, examine your pet, provide any necessary treatment and discuss the plan. You will be provided with a copy of your history via email following the consultation. Prescriptions can be printed and provided while you wait.

  • ZipVet differs from a normal small animal vet in that we are a completely mobile practice. We will visit your home and save you the stress and hassle of taking your pet to the vet. We are fully insured and comply with RCVS and VMD guidelines.

This does mean that you may need to go to your bricks and mortar practice for some services such as surgery or if your pet needs hospitalisation.

  • At ZipVet we offer a high-quality, convenient and un-rushed service. This means that we can only see a small number of patients in a day and our fees reflect this. Further details of our pricing can be found in the ‘Services’ section or please call to discuss.

Visits are available between 9.30am and 4pm. We may be able to accommodate appointments outside of these core hours for a surcharge. Saturday appointments for euthanasias can be requested and we will aim to be there for you.

  • Absolutely! In fact we ask that all of our clients are dual registered with a ‘bricks and mortar’ practice as we are not able to provide extensive services such as surgery, x-rays, dental work and hospitalisation. We have partnered with Beech House Vets, who have a well equipped hospital and experienced staff. ZipVet clients receive a discounted consult fee if referred to Beech House for care.

Once you register with us, with your consent, we will request a history from your previous vet practice so that we can provide the best possible care to your pet.

  • All pets are! Though we are particularly useful if your pet has mobility issues or has a nervous temperament.

Please note that if your pet shows signs of nervous aggression we may request that you muzzle them or we may recommend more than one visit. If this is the case we may dispense a mild sedative to give your pet prior to the visit to help with their anxiety. This is to keep everybody safe and we will work with you to make you and your pet feel comfortable.

  • We accept cash and all major card providers (Visa debit, Visa, Mastercard). Payment will be required at the time of the visit.

We request that euthanasia consults pay in advance of the appointment so that on the day we can focus solely on you and your pet.

  • Yes, you should be able to claim on your pet insurance like you would at a bricks and mortar vet. However, they may not cover the call-out fee - we can provide an itemised bill detailing the consultation and call-out fee if needed.
